When Penny is launched from the ice cream truck in the bomb cart, she is obviously laughing during the shot, even though she is supposed to be screaming and crying.

If Claw had loaded the ice cream truck with pure gold bricks, he wouldn't be able to drive away, the gold would have weighed down the truck, making it impossible for him and his goons to drive away.

Due to being shot in Brisbane, most of the cast are from Australia. The exceptions being French Stewart (Inspector Gadget), Elaine Hendrix (G2), Caitlin Wachs (Penny), Jeff Bennett (the voice of Brain), and D.L. Hughley (the voice of the Gadgetmobile). Another exception is Jungle Bob's actor, Mick Roughan, who speaks in his natural Australian accent, which fits his character.

Film Goofs and Film Mistakes.

This movie was dedicated to partially hiding Claw's face, mainly from the eyes up. However, there are two instances where they accidentally fail at this. The first is when Claw is at an old-abandoned Bowl-Rite hideout. As he exclaims that they will build a super weapon, the light (reflecting off his claw) shines on his face, thus removing the shadows and exposing him right before he begins to explain his plan. This occurs again when Gadget and G2 arrive at the Federal Reserve. When Claw drags Penny towards the ice cream truck and calls for Brick and McKibble, the camera goes too low and accidentally shows us a good side-view glimpse of his face.

Deliberate Mistake

When Gadget activates his jetpack to fly across Riverton to catch up the thug (who took a priceless diamond in a bag), the amount of flower pots can be clearly seen in an overhead shot during the hot pursuit, though they have vanished in the process.
